Quantum Blockchain’s updates on real-time bitcoin mining – ICYMI

Quantum Blockchain Technologies PLC CEO Francesco Gardin talked with Proactive’s Stephen Gunnion about the company’s latest advancements.

Proactive: Hello, you’re watching Proactive. Joining me is Quantum Blockchain Technologies CEO Francesco Gardin. Francesco, very good to speak with you. Following the RNS update on the 17th of January, where you stated you were now able to mine Bitcoin in real-time with AI Oracle. Where are you now with the development of this product?

Francesco Gardin: Hi Stephen, good afternoon to you. We are in a very, very intense and busy period for the company. And as we speak, we are mining with our FPGA bitcoins. Of course, we’re talking about Satoshi’s more than bitcoins. But we are now ready to go out and present our technology as a live demo to our potential customers.

Proactive: You recently presented at a US Bitcoin conference. I believe shareholders are keen to know what was the reaction to the AI Oracle from the industry.

Francesco Gardin: It was extremely well taken. The main difference is that when you make an announcement, or when the news is captured by mining blogs, it could be considered fake news. Especially for the US audience, they may not know who this company in London is. But when they associate a face, someone actually talking to them and answering questions, the credibility changes. We met all the main players, we know them, and our consultant, Jose Rios, knows all of them due to his background with Intel chips. This was a major step forward in increasing our credibility with potential clients and partners.

Proactive: How confident are you that you’ll find a partner to work on commercializing Method C?

Francesco Gardin: We’re doing something that no one else, as far as I know, does. We are improving the hashing performance of existing hardware. We are one of the few options for any chip manufacturer who wants to improve their chip’s hashing performance. They can reduce the scale of manufacturing, but none of those steps provide a 30% plus boost to performance. What we have, we believe, is unique.

Proactive: We’ve not had an update on Methods A and B for a while. Are they still in the pipeline?

Francesco Gardin: Absolutely. These methods are still there. To give you a metaphor: Imagine you’re a skilled rider with reins to control your horse, but when you get to the race, the reins are gone, and you have to pull the ears of the horse. This is where we’ve been. The underlying ASIC chips couldn’t perform as needed. We tried to adapt Method B’s approach, but limitations still prevented us from achieving lab-level performance. However, at the conference, it was announced that Block, a significant player, acquired Intel’s Vision 2 chip. This new chip could allow us to finally control the chip in the way we need.

Proactive: Just finally, Francesco, you have demonstrated that the AI Oracle has disrupted the Bitcoin algorithm. What’s the significance of this to the crypto markets?

Francesco Gardin: As usual, communication is the challenge. We are preparing a 3D graphics video to explain Method C, which should help make the concept clearer. Our attendance at the national event confirmed that what we are doing is different from the rest of the industry, and the interest is huge.
