Sony Music Australia Signs Mansionair For Global Deal
Mansionair will go global through a new deal with Sony Music Entertainment Australia, their first with a major label.
Announced today, March 4th, the Sydney electronic act trio signs with Sony Music on a worldwide basis, with label partners RCA in the UK and Arista in the US.

The trio celebrate by kicking off Sony Music Entertainment Australia’s month long “Artist In Residency” takeover at Sydney’s Metro Social, including a performance this Wednesday, March 5th, where the act debuts their new hybrid/DJ live experience, dubbed The Sahā Set.
There, the group will present extended improvised musical moments of songs that inspire them, plus deep cuts and a taste of their upcoming new music, a statement reads.
The series of free-entry events will wrap Wednesday, March 26th with a celebration of 30 years of Silverchair’s classic Frogstomp album, including an appearance by founding member Ben Gillies and some “very special guests”.
“Signing with Sony Music has us really excited for the next chapter of our project,” says Mansionair’s Lachlan Bostock, Jack Froggatt and Alexander Nicholls in a joint statement. “With new music on the horizon we feel like we’ve found the perfect home for what comes next”.
Formed in 2014, Mansionair signed the following year with Daniel Glass’s New York-based independent music company Glassnote Records for North America, the UK and Europe, and with Liberation, now part of Mushroom Music, for Australia and New Zealand.
The group has gone on to release two albums through including the debut Shadowboxer, which cracked the ARIA Top 40 (peaking at No. 37) and hit No. 49 on Billboard’s Independent Albums chart, and 2022’s Happiness, Guaranteed.
The most recent multi-track release from the band, The Sahā Sessions, dropped in December 2022.
Mansionair has charted in the US on several occasions including 2017’s “Line Of Sight,” their collaboration with ODESZA and WYNNE; “Astronaut – Something About Your Love”; and “Strangers,” their collaboration with Australian DJ and producer Dom Dolla.
