Kate Hudson surprised many people in 2024 by moving from acting into music. That’s not commonly seen as an artistic transition. Usually, people begin with music, and jump into the film and TV spaces after finding fame and building an audience.

The Oscar-nominated actor dropped her album, Glorious, in May 2024. The set was not a huge commercial success, but Hudson continues to promote it to this day. She recently shared a new version with additional tunes, one of which has become a hit in the United Kingdom.

“Right on Time” debuts on this week’s Official Singles Downloads chart. Hudson’s latest offering barely manages to find space on the 100-spot roster of the most downloaded tunes in the nation, as it comes in at No. 99.
Hudson earns her first hit on the Official Singles Downloads chart this week. While she’s been promoting Glorious for months now, “Right on Time” is her first track to rank among the most-purchased songs on digital download storefronts like iTunes, Amazon Music, and others.
Kate Hudson’s Glorious Album Returns
As “Right on Time” kicks off on the downloads tally, Glorious is back again as well. The full-length reappears on the Official Album Downloads chart at No. 18 in just its second turn anywhere on that roster. The actor’s first complete project reaches a new all-time peak this time around as it’s revived.

Hudson released the deluxe edition of Glorious on Valentine’s Day this year. She spaced out the original release of the full-length and the expanded set by nearly a year, extending the lifetime of the project.

Hudson began promoting Glorious in January 2024. Lead single “Talk About Love” dropped that month, and she followed it up with two others—”Live Forever” in March and “Gonna Find Out” in April.
Running Point Debuts on Netflix
Hudson timed the release of the deluxe edition of Glorious perfectly. She was back in the news as her new series, Running Point, recently premiered on Netflix in the last days of February. She promoted the project with a number of interviews, and all that attention seems to have helped her music career, as well as the show.
