DoE To Conduct First Draw Of Lots For EWS, DG Category Today; Check Results At edudel.nic.in

Delhi School EWS Result 2025: The first draw of lots for the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and Disadvantaged Group (DG) category for the 2025-26 session will be held by the Delhi Directorate of Education (DoE) today, March 5 2025. The computerised draw will be held at 2:30 PM today at the Conference Hall of the Directorate of Education, Old Secretariat, Delhi. Once released, guardians and parents will be able to access the Delhi school admissions results at edudel.nic.in.

Education Minister Ashish Sood said on Tuesday that the process will be transparent and carried out before parents and representatives of the media. To enhance visibility for parents at the occasion, television screens will be installed, as reported by the news agency PTI.

As many as 2.5 lakh applications have been received, and 38,000 students will be admitted through a draw of lots, according to the state education minister. Moreover, the income eligibility limit for admission under the EWS category has been raised to Rs 5 lakh.

After the declaration of results, the shortlisted candidates will have to get themselves registered within the given time period. They have to provide the required documents, like proof of age, residency, and income, to the school that has been allocated to them. Once documents are verified, shortlisted students will be issued a slip. Failure to complete the admission process within the given deadline may lead to the forfeiture of the allotted seat.

If a student is not chosen in the initial draw of lots, the DoE may make further draws subject to the availability of seats. Parents are requested to remain updated through official notifications and announcements from the Directorate of Education.
