Caribbean Cinemas Launches Retro Tuesdays in USVI, Bringing Classic Films Back to the Big Screen
Movie lovers in the U.S. Virgin Islands will soon have the chance to relive some of cinema’s most iconic moments as Caribbean Cinemas introduces Retro Tuesdays, a special monthly event featuring classic films on the big screen.
According to Caribbean Cinemas, the initiative — which has already seen success in Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic — will debut in the USVI on Tuesday, March 18 at Caribbean Cinemas Market Square East and Sunny Isle Mall. The first film in the series, Set It Off, will be shown at 7:00 p.m., kicking off what promises to be a nostalgic experience for audiences.
Retro Tuesdays will take place on the first Tuesday of each month, featuring a rotating selection of beloved films such as Rush Hour, Training Day, Terminator, and Enter the Dragon. For many, this will be the first opportunity to see these films on the big screen, while others will be able to revisit childhood memories in a shared cinematic setting.
Caribbean Cinemas said it decided to expand Retro Tuesdays to more Caribbean locations after seeing the success of the program in other regions where the company operates. The concept has resonated with audiences, offering a unique opportunity to enjoy classic films in a communal theater environment.
Tickets for Retro Tuesdays will be available for purchase starting March 5, both online and at the theater box offices. Prices will remain at the regular ticket rate, with no additional discounts applicable.
For updates on upcoming Retro Tuesday films, moviegoers can follow Caribbean Cinemas USVI on social media or visit the official website at www.caribbeancinemas.com.
