Delhi University releases UG admission brochure for 2025; BCom (Hons) accessible to students without Maths – Education News

The University of Delhi (DU) has released its admission brochure for the 2025-26 academic session, available at admission.uod.ac.in. One of the key changes this year is that students without Mathematics in their Class 12 curriculum can now apply for the BCom (Hons) program. Previously, Mathematics was a mandatory requirement, but now students who did not study Mathematics or Applied Mathematics in Class 12 can still apply.

Instead of Mathematics, students can apply with one language from the subjects listed in List A, Accountancy or Bookkeeping, or any two subjects from List B.

Since 2022, DU has offered two subject combinations for various undergraduate courses under the CUET-UG admissions system. For BA (Hons) courses, students can select two languages from List A along with three domain-specific subjects.

Admissions to DU’s undergraduate programs will continue to be based on CUET UG scores, except for those applying through the School of Open Learning, Non-Collegiate Women’s Education Board, and foreign nationals. Candidates must appear in the CUET UG 2025 for the subjects they studied or will study in Class 12. If a subject from Class 12 is not available in the CUET UG 2025, students must appear in a similar language or domain-specific subject.

Candidates must also apply to the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS UG) 2025. Detailed information about the allocation and admission process through CSAS UG will be released separately on the DU website.

For BSc (Hons) programs in Mathematics, Computer Science, and Statistics, students must still have studied Mathematics, but they can now choose two subjects from List B or two languages from List A.

Students applying under the EWS quota should ensure that their certificate is issued after March 31, 2025.

This year, DU is offering 78 undergraduate courses across various disciplines, including arts, commerce, science, technology, management, vocational studies, and fine arts.

Admissions will be conducted through CUET UG 2025 scores. The CUET UG 2025 exam will be held from May 8 to June 1, 2025, with the last date for registration being March 22, 2025.

The CUET UG 2025 exam will be available in 13 Indian languages: English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu. The application correction window will open on March 24, 2025.
