FM discusses humanitarian aid with UN coordinator

Sana’a – Saba:

Foreign Minister Jamal Amer met on Sunday with UN Resident Coordinator and Humanitarian Coordinator Julian Harens in the capital Sana’a to discuss the work of international organizations in Yemen and funding challenges.

The meeting, also attended by Undersecretary of the Ministry for International Cooperation Ismail al-Mutawakel, reviewed a report on the activities of international organizations operating in Yemen and Harens’ recent meetings with donors.

They also discussed the transfer of projects previously managed by closed NGOs to other organizations.

Minister Amer highlighted the establishment of a Legal Support Department within the Foreign Ministry to provide legal assistance to international organizations and resolve disputes.

He emphasized the ministry’s commitment to facilitating the work of both governmental and non-governmental organizations.
