Nissan Motor to expand India lineup, set to launch 2 models

Nissan Motor India has announced plans to expand its line-up with the launch of two new models in India. These vehicles include a 5-seater C-SUV and an all-new 7-seater B-MPV. The automaker showcased these products at its recently concluded Global Product Showcase Event in Yokohama, Japan. On Wednesday, the company shared two brand new teasers for Indian audiences, which confirm the developments and timelines for both vehicles. 

All-New 7-seater B-MPV: Launch Schedule

Nissan is set to launch the 7-seater B-MPV (multi-purpose vehicle) as a brand-new addition to the India product portfolio. According to the automaker, the vehicle will deliver unmatched value, quality, and comfort to its core customers. The company also added that the Nissan B-MPV will feature muscular styling with a unique and distinct design philosophy.

5-seater C-SUV

“This will be followed by a previously announced 5-seater C-SUV (compact sports utility vehicle) nearly FY26,” the auto maker said in a press release on Wednesday. 

According to the company, the car will be feature-packed and equipped with state-of-the-art proprietary advanced technologies. Inspired by another iconic Nissan SUV, the new C-SUV takes design cues from the Nissan Patrol. The C-SUV will embody true Nissan SUV DNA, delivering the same robust reliability, premium craftsmanship, and technology that Nissan is globally renowned for, it added. 

Nissan February 2025 India Sales Up 44.76%  

For February 2025, the company reported a 44.76 per cent year-on-year rise in total sales, reaching 8,567 units, driven by exports. Domestic sales accounted for 2,328 units, down from 2,755 units in the same month last year. Exports last month totalled 6,239 units, up 97 per cent year-on-year, compared to 3,163 export units in February 2024, Nissan Motor India said in a statement.
