World Bank Provides €113.6 Million Loan for Development Policies
The Council of Ministers approved, in principle, the loan agreement with the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) to finance the program “Resilience and Green Development Capacity – Second Loan for Development Policies.”
The agreement provides a loan of €113.6 million, with the decision taking effect immediately.
This follows the first loan agreement with the IBRD, which financed the “First Resilience and Green Development – Loan for Development Policies” program, through budgetary support from the World Bank, amounting to €110.8 million.
The program’s objectives include strengthening key sectors, improving the energy market framework, and increasing renewable energy capacity and energy efficiency. Additionally, the agreement focuses on environmental protection and mitigating the impacts of climate change.
