KUCHING (March 30): Sarawakians must unite in building a stronger economy, driving innovation, and enhancing global trade networks, while ensuring all levels of society benefit from economic growth.

In stating this, Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan reaffirmed the government’s commitment to advancing the state towards developed status by 2030, improving income, and raising the standard of living.

“At the same time, the government’s continuous efforts to attract more investments and businesses to Sarawak have yielded positive results, thanks to the wisdom of our leaders and business-friendly policies,” he said in his Hari Raya Aidilfitri message.

He assured that Sarawak will continue to strengthen a competitive, inclusive, and sustainable trade and investment ecosystem.

He said the state’s success as a progressive investment hub and a trusted trade destination is the result of close cooperation between the government, private sector, and the people.

In conjunction with Hari Raya, Awang Tengah said it is a time of forgiveness and to strengthen social bonds.

“In this era of development and globalisation, noble values such as integrity, compassion, and moderation are essential not only in personal relationships but also in leadership, governance, and business practices,” he said.
