NDSU institute to host talk by former World Bank chief April 18 – InForum
FARGO — North Dakota State University’s Challey Institute will host a conversation Tuesday, April 18, with Robert Zoellick.
The event, which will start at 4 p.m. in the Oceti Sakowin Ballroom in the NDSU Memorial Union, is free and open to the public. A public reception with hors d’oeuvres and refreshments will follow at 5:30 p.m.
Zoellick was president of the World Bank Group from 2007 to 2012, a U.S. trade representative from 2001 to 2005, and U.S. deputy secretary of state from 2005 to 2006.
He is among the world’s most distinguished authorities on the global economy, international finance, and foreign policy.
Zoellick is also a recipient of the Distinguished Service Award, the Department of State’s highest honor, and continues his work as a top expert in finance and economics as the non-executive chairman of Alliance Bernstein, a leading global investment management firm that offers research and diversified investment services to institutional investors, individuals, and private wealth clients in major world markets.
The first 100 guests will receive a copy of Zoellick’s book,
“America in the World: A History of U.S. Diplomacy and Foreign Policy.”

Guests to campus can receive a free parking voucher to enter into the pay station.
The parking voucher code can be requested in advance by emailing allison.fulton@ndsu.eduor, or at the check-in table the day of the event.

which hosts world thought leaders to share their ideas with the NDSU community on big questions that explore ways to improve the human condition and create economic opportunity.
