Creta crushes competition: Hyundai SUV tops March 2025 sales charts – Car News
A double whammy for the Hyundai Creta as it was the best-selling vehicle last month and the top SUV in Q4 FY 2024-2025.
Let the good times roll. Hyundai Motor India announced that Creta was the most successful vehicle in March 2025 registering 18,059 units sold. The Hyundai vehicle continues to break records as it was the best-selling SUV in Q4 of FY 2024-2025. The Korean automobile manufacturer further flexed its muscles as it registered total domestic sales of 5,98,666 units in FY 2024-2025 and took pole position as India’s largest exporter with 1,63,386 units.
Creta leads the way
Setting new benchmarks for the SUV segment in the country, the Creta continues to be the number one best-selling SUV in the Indian market in Q4 of FY 2024-2025 with a cumulative sale of 52,898 units. The Creta finished FY 2024-25 as the third highest-selling passenger vehicle in the country, with 1,94,871 units sold. This is an impressive 20% year-on-year growth in sales volume, the highest-ever annual sales for the Hyundai SUV since its inception. This year marks a significant milestone for the Creta, celebrating its 10th anniversary since its launch in 2015.

According to Hyundai, the company has strengthened its SUV lineup with the Creta Electric and new Alcazar, with SUVs now accounting for 68.5% of its domestic sales in FY 2024-25. Domestically, Hyundai maintained its strong presence, securing the second position in passenger vehicle sales with 5,98,666 units delivered during the financial year.
