MMDA commends PH humanitarian team that helped in Myanmar quake response

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority praised the Philippine Inter-Agency Humanitarian Contingent (PIAHC) that flew to Myanmar to help in search and rescue operations after it was ravaged by a 7.7 magnitude earthquake.

The PIAHC has completed its operations and the MMDA said it salutes the team’s dedication and compassion.

The contingent includes the 10-member MMDA Search Rescue and Retrieval Team, which joined personnel from the uniformed service and other government agencies.

They also provided humanitarian assistance and disaster relief.

The MMDA team brought life locators, extrication equipment, and water purifiers.

The MMDA said the deployment of the contingent is part of the country’s “One ASEAN, One Response” commitment.
