Stocks plunged news: Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Wednesday’s session
NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 309.4 points up at 77044.29 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Karnimata Cold Store(down 20.00 per cent), JTL Infra(down 16.91 per cent), Goblin India(down 11.46 per cent), Raj Television(down 10.00 per cent) and Benara Bearings(down 10.00 per cent) stood among the top losers in today’s trade.
In the Nifty pack, 33 stocks closed in the green, while 17 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 108.66 points up at 23437.2.
On the BSE, Gensol Engg, Thakral Service, Boston Bio Systems Ltd., Golden Tobacco and Maitri Enterprises hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Sanathan Textiles, Sofcom Systems, Ajax Engineering, Gallantt Metal and Pankaj Polymers touched their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade.
