Local students tabbed for Canada-Wide Science Fair
The 36th annual Rotary Algoma STEM Fair saw 74 grade 7-12 students competing for a chance to represent Algoma at the Canada-Wide Science Fair.
The annual event was held at the George Leach Centre on the campus of Algoma University on April 11.
Over $12,000 in prizes and scholarships were awarded at this year’s fair, including the Tenaris Award for first place in the junior, intermediate, and senior categories.

The Rotary Club of Sault Ste Marie is sponsoring five students to represent Algoma at the Canada-Wide Science Fair in Fredericton, New Brunswick from May 31 to June 7, 2025.
The students are Mishty Bhatia, Jadyn Schwandt, Zackary Dixon, Jacob Dixon, and Ila Giroux.
