Third edition of Buddhist International Travel Mart to begin on May 23

Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA) on Wednesday officially announced the third edition of the Buddhist International Travel Mart (BITM) 2025.

Following a mutual agreement to jointly organise BITM 2025, the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) and NATTA signed a memorandum of understanding. Deepak Raj Joshi, Chief Executive Officer of Nepal Tourism Board, and Kumar Mani Thapaliya, President of NATTA, signed the MoU.

As per the announcement, BITM 2025 will be held from May 23–25 in Kathmandu and Lumbini.

The event is expected to host over 150 international buyers interested in Buddhist tourism and more than 60 national and international sellers.

Participating countries will include major Buddhist nations such as India, China, Bhutan, Myanmar, Thailand, Malaysia, and Sri Lanka, the organiser said on Wednesday.

BITM 2025 anticipates an attendance of over 1,100 guests, including national and international tourism professionals, followers of the Buddhist path, various stakeholders, and media.
