Pro Shop, the golf media and commerce company, has hired Andrew Captan as senior vice president of sales. Captan will be responsible for leading the sales team in driving strategic partnerships, expanding brand collaborations and fostering growth across Pro Shop’s house of brands. Previously, Captan was the vice president of multimedia sports sales at TelevisaUnivision, where he led national sales efforts and developed cross-platform campaigns.

Athletes Unlimited Names Kim Ng as Commissioner of the AUSL

Athletes Unlimited has named former Miami Marlins general manager Kim Ng as commissioner of the Athletes Unlimited Softball League, which will launch its inaugural season on June 7. Ng first joined Athletes Unlimited last summer as a senior advisor charged with developing the new pro softball league.

Legends Unveils Executive Team for College Business

Legends has promoted Tim Statezni, Dan Jankoski and Jay Lenhardt to form the executive team for its college business. Statezni has been named executive vice president of college, responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of Legends’ end-to-end services in the college industry. Jankowski assumes an expanded role as senior vice president of college. Lenhardt has been promoted to senior vice president of college feasibility and strategy where he will specialize in providing market and financial advisory services to maximize revenues.

Adam Anshell Joins Athlete Advantage as Chief Media Officer

Athlete Advantage has named Adam Anshell as its chief media officer. Anshell has experience in content strategy and media partnerships in NIL and college sports. Anshell will spearhead Athlete Advantage’s media strategy, including content production, media distribution and partnerships and the development of branded experiences. Anshell most recently served as chief operating officer at Stadium, an all-platform sports network. At Stadium, he oversaw all aspects of production, operations and partnerships, including all linear, digital and social content teams.

Patron Tequila Extends Partnership With Oracle Red Bull Racing

Oracle Red Bull Racing has extended its partnership with Patron Tequila, which began in 2023 when it was named the Spirits Partner. At select races, the Patron Tequila bar is being featured in the Red Bull Energy Lounge.

Castrol and TravelCenters of America Partner With Giannis Antetokounmpo

Castrol, the Official Motor Oil Partner of the NBA and WNBA, and TravelCenters of America are partnering with two-time NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo as an Official Brand Ambassador through the 2025-26 season. Antetokounmpo will be featured in a new ad campaign debuting during the NBA Playoffs. As part of the new campaign, Antetokounmpo will take part in activations across marketing, retail and social media. In addition to Castrol, Giannis will represent TravelCenters of America in a similar ambassadorship capacity.

Lowe’s to Partner With EA Sports on In-Game Content

Lowe’s is collaborating with EA Sports to be featured in multiple EA Sports titles for the first time, including EA Sports FC, Madden NFL and College Football. Lowe’s will show up in each game with branding across multiple gameplay experiences. Lowe’s said it wants to connect with digitally savvy audiences in their areas of interest earlier, more frequently and in a native way.

NFL Enters Into Sponsorship Deal With NetApp for Data Storage

The NFL has named NetApp its Official Intelligent Data Infrastructure Partner. NetApp will work with the league to develop silo-free storage technology as it manages its data. NetApp will play a role globally with the NFL, activating across the entire slate of 2025 international games, and as the presenting sponsor of the 2025 NFL London games and the first regular-season NFL game in Madrid.

Chipotle and NHL Extend Multiyear North American Partnership

Chipotle and the NHL have extended their multiyear North American partnership, maintaining Chipotle’s title as the official Mexican-themed quick service and fast-casual restaurant of the NHL. Chipotle will continue receiving prominent brand exposure through the league’s corner in-ice brand positions for all U.S. and Canadian playoff games and through virtual slot in-ice ads and digital enhanced dasherboards. As part of the extension, Chipotle will be an official partner of the National Hockey League Players’ Association for the first time.

Aflac, WNBPA Increase WNBA All-Star Event Prizes

Aflac and the Women’s National Basketball Players Association (WNBPA) have announced the renewal of their partnership, and along with it, an increase in prize money for Aflac-sponsored All-Star Weekend events. The enhanced prize pool for 2025 includes $60,000 to the 3-Point Contest Champion and $55,000 to the Skills Challenge Winner.

WSC Sports Acquires Infront Lab’s Engines 365

WSC Sports has acquired Infront Lab’s Engine 365, which sports organizations use to manage digital experiences. Beyond the acquisition, WSC Sports and Infront will continue to collaborate on OTT streaming an consultancy services for sports rights holders based on the combined technology stack. WSC Sports will employ various members of the Infront Lab team and will assume most of the existing Engines 365 client contracts. WSC Sports and Infront will jointly manage selected existing projects, formerly held by Infront Lab. Infront will maintain an integrated digital account management team as the contact point and dedicated resource to manage and oversee digital business relations with all existing Infront Group clients previously serviced by Infront Lab.

Diamond Baseball Holdings Buys Wisconsin Timber Rattlers

Third Base Ventures, led by Craig Dickman, Rob Zerjav and Brad Raaths, has agreed to sell the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers to Diamond Baseball Holdings (DBH). The Timber Rattlers will remain in the Fox Cities as the High-A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers. The existing front-office staff will continue to operate the club under the leadership of Zerjav, who is the team’s president and CEO. As part of the transaction, DBH is also purchasing Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium, the team’s home ballpark since it opened in 1995.

Actor Neal McDonough Becomes Official Investor in Austin Gamblers

The Austin Gamblers, 2024 Champions in the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Teams league, has announced an expansion of the team’s ownership group with the addition of Neal and Ruvé McDonough. The McDonoughs are also collaborating with PBR as co-producers on their upcoming film The Last Rodeo.
