Saurav Mitra, CFO, Petronet LNG Limited
Indian oil and gas company, Petronet LNG Limited has announced the appointment of Saurav Mitra as Director of Finance and Chief Financial Officer for a five-year term, effective from April 22, 2025, to April 21, 2030. He succeeds Vinod Kumar Mishra, whose tenure concluded in April 2025.
A seasoned finance leader with over three decades of experience, Mitra is an Associate Member of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ACMA). His career includes key leadership roles at Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) and its overseas subsidiary, Lanka IOC PLC.
At IOCL, Mitra served as Executive Director (Internal Audit) at the Corporate Office, leading enterprise-wide audit initiatives that enhanced compliance, internal control systems, and risk governance frameworks.
Mitra’s expertise spans a wide range of areas, including Corporate Finance, Treasury, Forex Risk Management, Capital Budgeting, Corporate Accounts, Mergers & Acquisitions, Taxation, Pricing, and Regulatory Affairs.
Known for his collaborative leadership style and team-building capabilities, Mitra’s appointment is expected to strengthen Petronet LNG’s financial leadership and support its growth trajectory.
