Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts strengthens India ties with successful showcase tour, ET TravelWorld

Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts has wrapped up its India Showcase April-2025, a multi-city trade engagement that spanned Mumbai, Bengaluru and New Delhi, aimed at deepening the brand’s ties with India’s booming outbound travel market. The roadshow, which drew participation from more than 300 representatives across travel agencies, MICE planners, corporate travel buyers, and wedding specialists, has opened a promising pipeline of high-value leads.

The showcase spotlighted Cinnamon’s diverse hospitality portfolio in Sri Lanka and the Maldives, with particular emphasis on Cinnamon Life City of Dreams. The upcoming integrated resort, which will feature extensive event spaces and a casino, attracted notable interest from event organisers and leisure planners alike. The roadshow also strengthened collaboration with key partners including SriLankan Airlines, Walkers Tours, Jetwing Travels, Aitken Spence, and Esna Holidays.

Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts described the event as a concerted effort by its India-based global sales team, in partnership with brand colleagues from Sri Lanka and the Maldives. The initiative not only enhanced awareness but also resulted in immediate large-scale booking enquiries, with further conversions anticipated over the coming months.

Radhey Tawar, Chief Commercial Officer at Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts, commented: “India Showcase April-2025 was a pivotal step in deepening our presence in one of our most strategic markets. India remains the number one source market for Sri Lanka, and the overwhelming response across Mumbai, Bengaluru and New Delhi reflects the growing confidence Indian travellers and planners place in Cinnamon and the destination itself.”

Following the showcase, the group now plans a series of familiarisation trips, targeted client follow-ups and joint campaigns with airlines and destination partners. With India remaining a key growth market, Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts is positioning itself to welcome an increasing flow of travellers to its properties across the region.
