Campbell of Baseball Named Landmark Athlete of the Week

Junior outfielder Conor Campbell of The University of Scranton baseball team helped lead the Royals to a 5-1 week and has been named the Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

This marks the first career Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week award for the Wilmington, DE native.

During the week, Campbell hit .565 with 11 RBI and 11 runs scored. Campbell notched multiple hits in four of six games on the week.

Campbell’s biggest game came in the series finale against Moravian on Sunday when he recorded three hits, three runs scored, a grand slam, and six RBI to lead the Royals to a dominant 19-4 win. 

Campbell and the Royals will return to action on Tuesday, April 29 at Wilkes University at 4:30 p.m.
