Thudarum Box Office Collection: Mohanlal-starrer The Malayalam film Thudarum was released on April 25 and has had a smooth performance at the box office. The film has been received well from the audience for its indulging storyline and has displayed commercial success over its five day theatrical run. The movie is continuously collecting a good amount at the box office and is moving closer to the Rs 100 crore milestone at the global box office.
Thudarum’s collection is highly remarkable at the box office considering the minimal promotional hype of the movie. The movie has earned Rs 2.4 crore on day 6 until now. On weekends, the movie did great at the box office as it collected Rs 5.25 crore on day 1, Friday; Rs 8.6 crore on day 2, Saturday; and Rs10.5 crore on the third day, Sunday. On its first Monday and Tuesday, it collected Rs 7.5 crore and Rs 6.5 crore, respectively, having a good show on weekdays as well. The film has touched the Rs 40 crore milestone at the box office.
Thudarum is enjoying a Malayalam occupancy rate of 36.84% on Wednesday, day 6. The morning shows enjoyed an occupancy rate of 31.44%, and the afternoon shows saw a slight tilt towards an upside with an occupancy rate of 42.24%.
Directed by Tharun Moorthy, the movie is seeking immense attention because of its powerful narrative and plausible acting of actors Mohanlal, Shobana, Binu Pappu, and other actors. Thudarum is receiving great word of mouth for its intense and deep storyline. The film starts with building emotional connection and comical scenes and turns into a terrific suspense thriller in the later half that has impressed the viewers.

The movie has turned out to be a great comeback for actor Mohanlal after L2: Empuraan, which became the first Malayalam film to enter the Rs 100 crore club in just the first week after collecting Rs 174 crore at the global market. Thudarum is expected to be the second Malayalam movie of the year to enter the Rs 100 crore club.
