New Delhi: A US woman residing in Bengaluru shared her experience of availing late-night delivery services in India. The woman was impressed and told netizens how convenient it was. Netizens jumped into the conversation. They spoke of how the country is full of surprises.
Dana Marie, who makes content about her life in India, recently took to Instagram to laud India’s coveted fast-late-night services. In the video, Marie was seen having cake, which was probably ordered at night. Her caption read, “Not just cake…. Ice cream, coffee, a single can of Coke, cucumbers, a pair of scissors, etc. If you live in a major metro, you can get pretty much everything!”

Desis were not surprised. They spoke of how often they ordered late-night snacks.” This 1 time I ordered chocolates and snacks worth 4k at night, and 6 people came to deliver it. They were happy that I ordered at night because the weather is good during that time,” said one. Netizens stated that such services were a blessing for those who worked late.
“True, I come home from work at 3 am each day and have nothing to eat. It’s a blessing I can order proper food even at 4 am,” said one.
Another individual stated that fast delivery was not restricted to food items.
They stated, “Cakes, you can get anything like iPhones, kitchen utensils, kitchen appliances, medicines, pet supplies—you name it—it’s just 15 to 20 minutes away.” Some even touched upon how such services were not available in the West.
Netizens claimed that such services were surely “luxury” for those living outside of India. While most people praised the fast and late delivery services, some claimed that it reflected the lack of labour laws and the availability of extremely cheap labour in the country.
