No. 3 Mount Union college football defeated Baldwin Wallace

Quarterback Noah Beaudrie threw two touchdown passes and ran for another to lead No. 3 Mount Union to a victory over Baldwin Wallace on the road Saturday in Ohio Athletic Conference play. The win moves the Purple Raiders to 3-0 on the season and 2-0 in the OAC.

Beaudrie was 14-of-24 passing for 282 yards with no interceptions. He was also the leading rusher for Mount Union with 95 yards on just 12 carries.

Jerry Cooper surpassed 100 yards receiving and caught a touchdown for the Purple Raiders in the win. Cooper caught seven passes for 112 yards. Nick Turner caught an 83-yard touchdown pass for Mount Union while Tyrell Sanders added a touchdown reception for the Purple Raiders.

Tyle Echeverry and Shaun Thomas rounded out the scoring for Mount Union with rushing touchdowns.

Charlie Bubonic threw two touchdown passes for Baldwin Wallace. Bubonic was 25-of-36 passing for 177 yards with no interceptions.

The Mount Union defense sacked Bubonic four times and broke up defended seven passes. Rossy Moore and Caleb Brown had 1.5 sacks each for the Purple Raiders. Johnny Papesh and Tony Cook broke up two passes each for the Purple Raiders.

Mount Union will next play at Otterbein (0-3, 0-2) on Saturday at 12:30 p.m.
