Andover-based company CoolLED addresses MPs in Westminster
CoolLED, specialists in scientific illumination for the microscopy industry, were invited by local MP Kit Malthouse to speak to the Science, Innovation and Technology Select Committee on Tuesday, April 29.
Managing director Jake Davies shared how CoolLED’s advanced products are used worldwide, emphasising the importance of small, specialist tech firms to the UK economy and the need for continued investment in high-end research.

“I was proud to bring Jake to Parliament to highlight the company’s contribution to UK engineering, employment and international trade.
“He made a compelling case for greater government investment in engineering, raising its profile, and inspiring more young people, especially girls, to pursue careers in the field.”
Mr Davies added: “I would like to thank Kit for inviting me to speak to the Committee.
“We are very proud of what we have achieved so far at CoolLED with our global reach across many industries and our Andover-based manufacturing.
