Cooper Koch Bares His Abs and More in NSFW Calvin Klein Campaign Debut

Cooper Koch is here to make you sweat (and buy some undies).

The 28-year-old actor, most known for his breakout role in Ryan Murphy’s Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story, is joining the Calvin Klein family as the face of the brand’s new campaign, which spotlights the Icon Cotton Stretch underwear.

CK skivvies aren’t the only thing taking center stage, though, as Koch, lensed by Mert Alas, displays his chiseled abs (and a lot more) in the sexy ad. Per a press release, the visuals “embody Calvin Klein’s enduring legacy of confidence and sensuality.”

In an interview with Esquire, published on May 13, the Golden Globe nominee said shooting his debut spot for the label was “really, really fun” yet “exhausting.” That’s because he had a trainer on set who had him “lifting weights and doing push-ups and working out the entire day to stay pumped-up.”

“I’d never really had that experience before, so I was tired by the end of the day, but ultimately it was so, so fun,” he continued, adding that he was simply “grateful” to be there.

In addition to a workout plan, Koch said that listening to a certain pop star got him in the mood to model. “They were playing Madonna the whole time, which was awesome. There was great music. And then at a certain point, there was water that came into play, so then all of a sudden I was soaking wet, which woke me up. That was really fun. It was just constantly changing environments and changing set-ups, and they let me look at some of the photos too as we were going, so that kept me excited to try new stuff.”

With Koch’s help, Calvin Klein is also spotlighting its classic denim styles. Jeans are actually a go-to for the star on the daily, with him telling Esquire that he loves putting on a trusty pair of denim when he’s going out. He even snagged a pair he wore on the set of Monsters (a series set in the late ’80s) that he couldn’t let go because of how well they hugged his rear. “They honestly make my butt look really good. I think that’s an ‘80s thing, everyone’s butts looked great,” he said.

Koch joins a long list of studs who’ve recently posed for Calvin Klein including Jeremy Allen White, Idris Elba, Michael B. Jordan and Bad Bunny, whose steamy posters earned $8.4 million in media impact value in less than 48 hours per a report by Launchmetrics that was shared by WWD in March.

Back in February, Koch attended the brand’s fashion show in New York City. He made a style statement in a monochromatic brown look complete with a leather jacket, trousers and boots.
