II PU exam-2: Science stream students see improvement in marks

The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) announced II PU exam 2 results on Friday, and the pass percentage stood at 31.27%.

In 2024, the pass percentage in exam-2 was 35.25%.

This year, a total of 1,94,077 appeared for the exams, of which 60,692 managed to clear them. Of the 71,964 registered for exam-2 to improve their scores, as many as 41,719 saw an improvement in marks. As many as 1,628 have not seen any changes in the marks scored in exam-1.

Among the students who wrote the II PU annual exam-2, a large number of students from the Science stream scored good marks in physics, chemistry, mathematics and biology subjects.

According to the subject-wise data, the highest registration was for physics with 46,270, of which 26,518 managed to improve their marks, followed by 45,297 in mathematics, wherein 25,477 have seen improvement. In chemistry, 44,947 appeared and 31,974 got gradual improvements. In biology, among 20,310 who appeared for the exam, a total of 9,492 students got improved scores. The number of students registered for english subjects to improve the marks was 21,724, and a total of 6,937 managed to improve their marks.

“As these marks will be counted for the CET ranking. Several Science students appeared for exam-2 to get a good ranking in CET,” said a senior official of the KSEAB.

Even in exam-2, girls outperformed boys with a 36.38% pass percentage against 34.34% of boys. The stream-wise pass percentage of students stood at 25.38% in Arts, 35.74.% in Commerce and 35.14% in Science.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah congratulated the students who have managed to pass exam-2 and also those who improved their marks by appearing in the second exam. “I congratulate the 60,692 students who passed exam-2 and 41,719 improved their marks. I also advise those who were unable to clear both the exams to not get disappointed, and register for exam-3 without paying any fees,” Mr. Siddaramaiah tweeted on the social media platform ‘X’.

Scanned copy

The last date of application for the scanned copy of the answer script is May 22 and the last date of application for the revaluation and re-totalling is between May 21 to May 25. Students can download the scanned copies of answer scripts between May 20 to 24.

Exam-3 from June 9

The KSEAB has scheduled to conduct the II PU exam-3 from June 9 to June 20.
