Indian Tourist Transporters Association partners with Lawyered for 24×7 legal support, ET TravelWorld
The Indian Tourist Transporters Association (ITTA) has announced an exclusive partnership with Lawyered, India’s leading legaltech platform, to provide round-the-clock legal support to tourist transport operators across the country. The collaboration introduces Lawyer-On-The-Spot (LOTS), a tech-enabled legal solution designed to offer instant legal assistance during on-road incidents.
Tourist transport operators frequently face legal and regulatory challenges while navigating inter-state routes, from traffic violations and permit checks to documentation issues. Recognising these pain points, ITTA and Lawyered have introduced LOTS to provide on-road legal support, ensuring drivers and operators have immediate access to legal advice, representation, and regulatory compliance solutions.
The partnership was formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed in the presence of key ITTA members, including Satish Sehrawat (Ten Travel), Kanwarjit Singh Sawhney (Baxi Transport Services), Babu Panicker (Panicker’s Travels), Krishan Mohan (Southern Tourist), and Madhukesh Malhotra (Malhotra World Travels).
“The safety, dignity, and legal protection of our drivers and transport operators have been long-standing concerns. With Lawyered, we are setting a new benchmark in legal preparedness and road safety,” said Satish Sehrawat, President, ITTA.
Himanshu Gupta, CEO of Lawyered, added, “This partnership reinforces our commitment to making legal safety as accessible as roadside assistance, ensuring drivers have instant support during critical moments.”
Under this partnership, all ITTA members will gain access to Lawyered’s PAN-India network of over 75,000 empanelled lawyers, a 24×7 legal helpline, and integrated digital services for traffic challans and RTO compliance. The service aims to minimise downtime, reduce legal costs, and ensure that operators maintain compliance with local regulations.
With a membership of over 500 operators, including brands like WTi Cabs, ORIX India, and ECO Mobility, ITTA plays a vital role in India’s tourism transport sector. This partnership marks a significant step toward enhancing legal safety and operational confidence for the country’s tourist transport operators.
