The Predator Takes on Vikings, Ninjas & WWII Pilots in New Trailer for Anthology Movie
The Predator franchise is jumping mediums for the first time in the history of the long-running film series. Hulu has released the official trailer for the franchise’s first animated movie, Predator: Killer of Killers.
“The anthology story follows three of the fiercest warriors in human history: a Viking raider guiding her young son on a bloody quest for revenge, a ninja in feudal Japan who turns against his Samurai brother in a brutal battle for succession, and a WWII pilot who takes to the sky to investigate an otherworldly threat to the Allied cause. But while all these warriors are killers in their own right, they are merely prey for their new opponent – the ultimate killer of killers,” reads the official synopsis for the animated movie. Killer of Killers was first announced in October 2024 by 20th Century Studios executive Steve Asbell as a secret Predator movie. It wasn’t until April 2025 that the movie was confirmed to be the franchise’s first animated project. Dan Trachtenberg, who successfully revitalized the Predator franchise in 2022 with the standalone prequel Prey, directed Killer of Killers, with Micho Robert Rutare serving as co-director and screenwriter. The movie was based on an original story idea by both filmmakers.
Predator Movie’s Voice Cast Will Excite Sci-Fi Fans
The confirmed voice cast for Predator: Killer of Killers so far consists of only four actors: Lindsay LaVanchy, Louis Ozawa Changchien, Rick Gonzalez, and Michael Biehn. Changchien previously appeared in the franchise as Hanzo Kamakam in the 2010 film Predators, although he is not expected to be reprising that role in the animated movie.
However, Biehn’s casting may be the most exciting for diehard sci-fi fans, as it means that the actor will now have starred in the three biggest sci-fi action franchises: Terminator, Alien, and Predator. Biehn is best known for playing Kyle Reese in James Cameron’s 1984 sci-fi classic The Terminator. He reunited with Cameron for 1986’s Aliens, playing Corporal Dwayne Hicks. However, he had never brushed shoulders with the Predator franchise until now. This makes Biehn part of a very exclusive list of actors to have appeared in all three properties, with genre favorites Lance Henriksen and Bill Paxton also part of the sci-fi trifecta.
