Serena Williams’ husband Alexis Ohanian’s Athlos NYC event, held on September 26th, featured a remarkable gathering of top female track and field athletes. Re-sharing it on his Instagram story, he captioned, “How did I just now see this @olympiaohanian x @gabbythomas picture!?” Surprisingly, a few hours later, Thomas herself took to her social media and reposted Ohanian’s IG story.

Known primarily for her 200-meter prowess, Thomas is a versatile sprinter capable of excelling in various distances. She can step down to the 100, or up to the 400, with relative ease. She was the sole female athlete to compete in both relays at the Olympic finals. In a remarkable feat, she won gold medals in the 200-meter, 4×100-meter relay, and 4×400-meter relay within a five-day period, demonstrating her exceptional talent.

Moreover, Ohanian has previously expressed how he had a discussion with Williams about Olympia’s professional athletic endeavors. However, he recalled how Williams had a condition to his proposal, “Not until they pay her what she’s worth.” It seems Olympia’s interest in racing has already piqued and his father has to “oblige” with her requests!
