Which Chargers Players Could Play Flag Football in 2028 Olympics?

It’s official: NFL players can participate in flag football at the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.

NFL owners agreed to let players partake with a vote Tuesday at the 2025 Spring League Meeting in Minnesota.

“It’s an incredible honor for any athlete to represent their country in the Olympics, which is the pinnacle of global sport,” NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said in a statement. “I know first-hand that the inclusion of flag football in the Olympics has sparked a tremendous amount of excitement among NFL players interested in the chance to compete for their country on the world stage. We are thrilled that they will now have that chance.”

Olympic rosters will be chosen by each countries’ respective National Olympic Committees.

But with that in mind, here are three Chargers players who could star at the 2028 Olympic Games.

McConkey isn’t the fastest player in the league but he might be one of the most elusive.

The Bolts speedy and shifty returner would probably fit right in on this stage.

Hey, the team has to have some defensive players, right? And it would be special for Henley to partake in the Olympics in his hometown of Los Angeles.
