GYRO Group Company Recruits Virgin Music Group Director

To coincide with its first anniversary, Brisbane-based GYRO Group’s global artist services company, GROUP SPEED, has announced a key addition to its leadership team.

The group has revealed North Carolina-based Jon Winchester as its new Artist and Streaming Marketing Lead, who will make the move from Virgin Music Group where he worked as Director of Artist and Label Marketing.

Winchester spent five years with Universal Music Group, and also previously worked as Director of Artist and Label Marketing at Ingrooves, having worked with international heavyweights such as The 1975 and Steve Aoki.

“Jon joins us to help unlock the next chapter of GROUP SPEED’s growth. His leadership will be key to elevating the caliber of talent we work with, achieving outstanding outcomes for our roster, and deepening our global streaming relationships,” GROUP SPEED General Manager Adrian Burke said.

“Jon’s arrival strengthens our ambition to not just meet, but exceed the expectations of a world-class partner, while building GROUP SPEED’s reputation as a premium, globally respected home for artists.”

Since launching in 2024, GROUP SPEED has had a number of big wins, including leading campaigns for the likes of local artist Lithe – who came in at #2 and #12 on Spotify Australia’s Global Impact List of 2024 – and helping to drive streams for notable Australian and international acts like Dom Dolla and the UK’s In Parallel.
