Environmental Champion Nababrata Bhattacharjee Receives ‘Gems of North East Award’ for Sustainability Leadership

Shillong, May 23: Renowned environmentalist Nababrata Bhattacharjee was honoured with the Gems of North East Award during a prestigious ceremony held in Guwahati. The award, presented by Times Network (Times Now, ET Now Swadesh), recognised his outstanding contributions to environmental conservation and sustainability in the region.

Bhattacharjee, who currently serves as the Chairman of the State Environment Assessment Council, has been a relentless advocate for sustainable development and ecological responsibility in Meghalaya and beyond. Over the years, his work has played a critical role in shaping environmental policy and raising public awareness around key ecological issues.
