Anaswara Rajan’s next film gets a release date

The makers of the Malayalam upcoming film, Vyasanasametham Bandhumithradhikal, have dropped an update on its theatrical release. The family drama, starring Anaswara Rajan in the lead role, will hit the big screen next month.

The film is slated to have a theatrical debut on June 13. The date was announced through a promo video showing the Malayalee From India actor dancing with Mallika Sukumaran, who is playing her grandmother in the movie, for a reel. It alludes to a modern, endearing family drama that is certain to win over viewers.

So far, no other Malayalam big releases have been announced for this date. However, reports claim that movies such as Sumathi Valavu, Abhyanthara Kuttavali and JSK – Janaki v/s State of Kerala might release in June. 

The first poster of Vyasanasametham Bandhumithradhikal was unveiled recently. In the background of the poster are the main actors and a beaming Anaswara Rajan. Notably, with the flowers and the corpse’s legs visible in the backdrop, the poster appears to be from a funeral. “Family, friends, and a little chaos — ‘Vysanasametham Bandhumithradhikal’ is coming to redefine ‘crazy close,'” the tagline says. The film’s production was completed in December, and further details, including a trailer, should be released soon.

Apart from the Rekhachithram star, Siju Sunny and Joemon Jyothir are also part of the film. Both of them were seen in Basil Joseph’s recent movie, Maranamass, which is streaming on Sony LIV. Mallika Sukumaran, Baiju Santhosh, Azees Nedumangad, and Noby Marcose appear in supporting roles in Vyasanasametham Bandhumithradhikal. 

The screenplay has been penned by its director S Vipin. The film’s editor is Johnkutty, while Rahim Aboobacker has helmed the camera work. Ankit Menon has composed music for the movie. Sahu Garapati and Vipin Das have bankrolled Vyasanasametham Bandhumithradhikal. Vipin Das is known for his works such as Guruvayoorambala Nadayil and Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey.
