Netrio announces acquisition of Agio
Netrio, a McKinney, Texas-based managed services provider, has acquired Agio, a New York City-based managed IT and cybersecurity provider specializing in the financial services sector. This strategic acquisition expands Netrio’s expertise and resources in cybersecurity and the financial services industry while extending its presence in the Northeast. Netrio will leverage Agio’s proprietary Gen AI-powered IT delivery platform, AgioNow, to enhance its national customer support capabilities and end-user experience.
Customers of both companies will benefit from an expanded portfolio of services, skill sets, and resources, and employees will have access to new opportunities for skills development and career growth. Mark Clayman, CEO of Netrio, said, “The addition of Agio represents an important next step in our goal to transform how small and mid-market enterprises leverage technology and enable their businesses. Agio’s deep expertise in financial services and advanced cybersecurity capabilities complement our existing services.
Netrio expands with Agio acquisition
Together, we’ll deliver comprehensive solutions that drive innovation, efficiency, and growth for our customers while reducing cost and risk.
Bart McDonough, CEO and founder of Agio, said, “From the start, our focus has been twofold: provide unparalleled protection to our customers as a managed IT and cybersecurity provider and develop a market-leading delivery platform leveraging AI to offer a unique end-user experience. Joining Netrio will allow us to continue that vision on an even larger scale.”
Piper Sandler served as financial advisor to Agio in the transaction.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Netrio, with offices in Texas, New York, and Minnesota, supports more than 1,000 customers and maintains 250 employees across the United States. The company provides a full range of IT managed services, including managed IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud, connectivity, voice, and custom application development.
This acquisition is part of a broader trend in the tech sector, with managed services, cloud solutions, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity driving significant merger and acquisition activity. As companies strive to stay ahead in an increasingly digital and threat-prone landscape, strategic acquisitions are becoming more common to expand capabilities and offer comprehensive, secure, and efficient services to clients.
