Jupiter 125 Teased Ahead of Launch as Current Model Hits Sales Record | Auto News

Jupiter 125 retained its status of being TVS brand’s most sold model, selling 11,07,285 units, which constituted for the manufacturer’s 61 per cent of the overall sales.

New Delhi: The TVS Jupiter scooter has seen sales of 76.49 lakh units till April 2025, with more than one lakh being sold on April 2025 itself. First introduced as a 110cc model and then brought in with the 125 cc version, the two-wheeler now has a new variant in the line up which is to be launched soon.
TVS, has released a couple of teaser images of the forthcoming Jupiter 125 on the model’s Instagram handle, the brand hasn’t revealed much details about the two-wheeler. It is expected that the new Jupiter 125cc will up its game, in order to compete in a segment which has the Suzuki Access 125 and Hero Destini 125.
TVS are working on Jupiter’s CNG version
The TVS Jupiter 125 comes with a 124.8cc engine that develops 8.1 bhp and 10.5 Nm of torque. It comes in three variants, falling between the range of Rs 88,496 and Rs 99,100. The Jupiter 110cc starts at Rs 79,591. The brand are currently also working on a Jupiter model that runs on CNG that is likely to launched this year.
The Jupiter in FY25 registered their best 12-month sales, with 11,07,285 units, which is also an increase of 31 per cent year on year. This meant that Jupiter was 61 per cent of the TVS’s record scooter sales, which accounted for 18,13,103 units in FY25 and 31 per cent of the total sales in the Indian scooter industry’s finest fiscal sales of 35,19,225 units. Jupiter’s best monthly sales came in festive October 2024, where it sold 1,09,702 units.
With more than twice as many Apache series motorcycles (4,46,218 units), Raider 125 (3,99,819 units), NTorq 125 (3,34,414 units), and XL 100 mopeds (5,01,813 units) sold in FY25, Jupiter preserved its status as TVS’ best-selling two-wheeler.
The TVS Jupiter has sold 75.4 lakh units over the last 12 fiscal years, accounting for 62% of the company’s scooter sales during that time. The demand for the Jupiter 125 continues to be on the rise, while sales of the entry-level Jupiter 110 are consistent.
