CHEBOYGAN – It’s time to vote for the Cheboygan Daily Tribune’s Athlete of the Week.
Each week, Cheboygan-area high school athletes will be eligible for the athlete of the week honor. Athlete of the week polls go live on Monday and voting closes at 11 p.m. on Wednesday.
Here are this week’s nominees:
James Charboneau, Cheboygan Baseball – Finished 2-for-5 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored in a district semifinal win over Grayling.
James Layman, Inland Lakes Baseball – Finished 3-for-3 with an RBI and two runs scored in a district semifinal win over Rogers City.
Kenzlie Currie, Mackinaw City Softball – Finished with four hits (two doubles) and six RBIs in a pre-district win over Harbor Light.
Charlotte Box, Onaway Softball – Finished a combined 6-for-8 with two triples, eight RBIs and six runs scored in district wins over Wolverine and Rogers City.
Brady Bonter, Pellston Baseball – Doubled and had an RBI in a district semifinal against Harbor Light.
