Registration is now open for WPI’s Wellness, Engagement & Belonging Symposium on Thursday, October 15th. Join colleagues from across campus for a day of engaging sessions and meaningful conversations focused on creating the conditions for individuals and our community to thrive.

Attend for the full day (8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) or select the sessions that best fit your schedule. Lunch will be provided.

The symposium features keynote presentations by Dr. Rebecca Kennedy of the University of Alabama at Birmingham, who will explore how higher education institutions can create the systemic, cultural, and environmental conditions that promote well-being and belonging through the health-promoting university framework and systems change approaches. Angela Incollingo Rodriguez, PhD, of WPI’s Department of Social Science & Policy Studies, will discuss the science behind our understanding of stress and how we can use that knowledge to build resilience, cope effectively, and recover from stress to avoid burnout and its consequences for health and well-being.

Participants can also choose from a variety of interactive workshops, including Ayurveda 101: Building a Nourishing Daily Rhythm for Fall, Framing Your Work Outlook, WellSort: What’s Important to You, Zentangle: Mindful Mark Making, Navigating the Most Important Relationship at Work, or Yoga.
