Most recently, the singer, who is promoting her latest album and accompanying visual album, Something Beautiful, attended the Chanel and Tribeca Festival Women’s Through the Lens luncheon on Friday. For the event, Cyrus continued her fashionable streak in a punk-rock take on the classic NYC uniform: head-to-toe black leather.
Cyrus wore a black button-up leather vest, a coordinating pleated skirt with asymmetric layers, sheer stockings, and black pumps—all Chanel, of course. She accessorized with a matching quilted Chanel clutch and fine jewelry from the designer.

Cyrus’s caramel hair was styled in big curls and a deep side part, and she kept her glam simple with a dewy complexion and a peach-hued lip. While on the carpet, Cyrus posed with her mom, Tish Cyrus, who wore an oversized white blazer with a black lace corset.

While speaking with InStyle, Cyrus revealed how her album, which came out last week, has impacted her fashion for the press tour.
“Yeah the title Something Beautiful really has been our compass this entire time,” she says. “[We have been] looking at pieces for not just what they are on the outside but looking at every detail, and I’ve really come to have an even greater appreciation of the craftsmanship and sitting in these ateliers and seeing the way that every bead, every strand, every fabric is hand chosen. It has really just restored my faith in [what] fashion can really mean.”

“It’s whatever is real in that moment,” she adds. “I wouldn’t say I have a style, it’s just whatever feels right.”
Cyrus’s album, Something Beautiful—which includes songs “Easy Lover,” “End of the World,” “Golden Burning Sun,” and more—is out now. The visual album premieres at Tribeca Film Festival on Friday and will be in theaters for one night only on June 12.
