Here’s when Nithin, Saptami Gowda’s film hit the screens

Thammudu is Nithiin’s new film that has been in the making for over two years. The makers have finally locked the release date, and the action drama will hit the screens on July 4, 2025. This date was initially blocked by Pelli Choopulu fame Vijay Deverakonda’s new film Kingdom, but as that film got postponed, the makers of Thammudu secured the date.

Thammudu locks release date

Venu Sriram of Vakeel Saab fame has directed this film, which has been produced by Dil Raju. Nithiin plays the lead in this brother-sister drama. Yesteryear star heroine Laya is making her comeback and will be seen as Nithiin’s sister.

Kantara fame Saptami Gowda is making her Telugu debut with this film, and as per reports, she has a strong role. Dil Raju, known for Balagam, has bankrolled the project and invested heavily in it.

For reasons unknown, Thammudu was delayed in production, and the release was postponed because Nithiin’s other film, Robinhood, directed by Chalo and Bheeshma fame Venky Kudumula, was released first. Unfortunately, that comedy caper flopped at the box office and is now streaming on Zee5.

Meanwhile, the makers have readied the trailer of Thammudu and plan to release it soon. Though Dil Raju is known for making successful films, his recent track record hasn’t been strong, which has affected the buzz around this project. Nithiin will be seen in an action-packed role in a film that reportedly carries a social message.
