Last year, Sony debuted its ULT Power Sound audio lineup in Malaysia, which is characterised by an ULT button that allows users to switch between different sound modes. Now, the brand is expanding the product range with the addition of two new wireless speakers, the ULT Field 3 and ULT Field 5.
To start off, the Sony ULT Field 3 is a portable speaker measuring 256 x 113 x 79 mm and weighing approximately 1.2 kg. The speaker comes with an IP67 rating, with Sony claiming that the device has salt-water resistance. It offers up to 24 hours of battery life, and supports Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity.

Next, the Sony ULT Field 5 is a bit bigger than the Field 3, measuring 320 x 144 x 125 mm and weighing roughly 3.3 kg. It also gets the same IP67 rating and salt-water resistance, as well as 25 hours’ worth of battery and support for Bluetooth 5.3. The Field 5 also offers two different modes of bass, and 360° Party Lights.
Alongside the two speakers, Sony is also introducing the ULTMIC1, a pair of wireless microphones. The microphones are designed to pair with the ULT Power Sound speakers through a USB dongle, allowing for a quick plug-and-play experience. According to the brand, the ULTMIC1 offers up to 20 hours of use on a single charge.
The ULT Field 5 comes in Off White and Black, and will be available starting 7 July 2025 for RM1,499. Meanwhile, the ULT Field 3 and ULTMIC1 are already available for purchase. The Field 3 is priced at RM899, with a Forest Gray option in addition to the Off White and Black colourways. The ULTMIC1 retails for RM799.

Along with the introduction of these new audio products, Sony is also partnering with rapper Post Malone as part of the company’s “For The Music” audio brand campaign. For the time being, Sony has yet to offer more information about this collaboration, but promises to reveal the details over the coming months.
