‘Fits For A King: Real Madrid Inks Multi-Year Partnership With Louis Vuitton

  • In a first for the legendary French maison, Louis Vuitton has become the exclusive formal and travel wear supplier for Real Madrid.
  • Designed by creative director Pharrell Williams, this entails custom-tailored suits, ready-to-wear garments, and plenty more (though the club jerseys will remain firmly under Adidas’ remit).
  • Aside from the men’s and women’s football teams, the Real Madrid men’s basketball team are also set to feel the sartorial love.

There’s no other way to describe the prestigious union between Real Madrid and Louis Vuitton than a match made in monogrammed heaven.

In one, you have an incredibly dominant La Liga side with a storied history, bearing a royal honorific personally bestowed upon them by Spain’s King Alfonso XIII an entire century ago. In the other, you have the world’s leading luxury fashion house with just as much legacy at play.

Now, the titans of their respective fields are joining forces in the pursuit of joint excellence.

Recently unveiled outside the iconic Santiago-Bernabeu Stadium, this glamorous partnership will see players and staff alike outfitted in bespoke tailored suits, ready-to-wear pieces, as well as accessories during official appearances and team travel. All Louis Vuitton, all designed by Pharrell Williams.

Standouts range from formal jackets and trousers with tastefully embossed VVN leather labels, LV Soft shoes, embroidered caps, and palladium-buckled belts; to the Horizon 55 suitcase, Keepall bag, and Christopher backpack flaunting LV’s signature Monogram canvas – along with Real Madrid’s initials and distinctive white-and-gold accents and “RM” initials.

And before you ask, no: none of these will be available for retail purchase. So interested parties better lace up and start dribbling if they want to cop.

“We are proud to support a club whose history is marked by countless victories and which continues to inspire generations,” said LV CEO Pietro Beccari.

“Louis Vuitton and Real Madrid share values that have driven them to the top of their respective disciplines, propelled by a relentless pursuit of excellence, a spirit of innovation and self-improvement.”

Emilio Butragueño, Real Madrid’s Director of Institutional Relations, added: “Both of us have managed to transcend time. We share not only the responsibility of building a legacy, but also the purpose of inspiring the world – beyond our respective industries.”

Aside from the men’s football team, both the Real Madrid women’s football team and men’s basketball team will enjoy the same exceedingly fashionable privileges.

While Louis Vuitton has been associated with professional sports in the past – from the FIFA World Cup and 2024 Paris Olympics to Formula 1; and even the prior sponsorship of Real Madrid superstar Jude Bellingham – this marks the maison’s first occasion dressing an entire team.
