Air India Express Lucknow-Dubai flight cancelled after technical issue with Boeing plane

An Air India Express flight from Lucknow to Dubai was cancelled on Wednesday morning after the aircraft faced a technical problem at Lucknow airport, according to a source quoted by PTI.

The flight, IX 193, was supposed to be operated using a Boeing 737 MAX plane and had over 155 passengers booked to travel.

The airline has not yet issued an official statement, but PTI sources say the flight was cancelled as a precautionary measure due to the aircraft’s technical issue.

Hotel stay and refund options for passengers

To manage the situation, passengers were given hotel accommodation and offered the choice of either a full refund or free rescheduling for a later date. Most travellers chose to stay at the hotel.

The flight is expected to be rescheduled around the same time on Thursday, the source added.
