Today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan held a briefing on preparations for the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC 3), which was attended by heads and representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in the country.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, during the briefing it was noted that LLDC 3 is intended to become an effective platform for promoting international cooperation for sustainable development.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov noted the importance of the event, which takes place once every 10 years, noting that large-scale preparations are underway for the event, which will be attended by heads of state and government of various countries, leaders and representatives of a number of international and regional structures, legislative bodies, financial institutions, public associations and the private sector.

At the briefing, organizational and protocol issues were discussed, proposals were made to strengthen the coordination of preparatory work, and a “question-and-answer” format was held, the source notes.

Let us remind that the forum will be held at NTV “Avaza” on August 4-8. It is expected that the heads of 32 states will take part in it.
