Movies in the Park returning to Aurora in August

Series will kick off Aug. 14 with Cheaper by the Dozen 2, followed by Jumanji and Toy Story

Movies in the Park is returning to Aurora Town Park next month.

The park at 49 Wells St. transforms into an outdoor cinema for the popular free series offering a series of classic films shown on a large inflatable screen with surround sound.

Attendees are encouraged to arrive early for pre-movie activities starting one hour before the film, a town news release said. Bring a blanket, lawn chair, and your favourite snacks. Complimentary movie-quality popcorn will be available while supplies last. A food donation for the Aurora Food Pantry is appreciated.

Thursday, Aug. 14 — Cheaper by the Dozen 2 at 8:45 p.m.

Thursday, Aug. 21 — Jumanji at 8:30 p.m.

Thursday, Aug. 28 — Toy Story at 8:15 p.m.
