Dubai’s One Freezone Passport launched with Louis Vuitton becoming the first corporate member under the initiative – Investing Abroad News
Dubai has introduced the One Free Zone Passport, a pioneering initiative that enables global companies to operate across all free zones under a single license. Louis Vuitton, a global luxury brand, became the first company to leverage this pioneering initiative and benefit from it.
One Free Zone Passport First Member
Louis Vuitton can now maintain its warehouse operations in Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza) while establishing its corporate office at One Za’abeel, which is part of Dubai World Trade Centre Authority (DWTCA) Free Zone.
In the case of Louis Vuitton, the streamlined free zone licence expansion process was completed in just five days, showcasing Dubai’s unparalleled efficiency in business setup and operational facilitation.
The initiative provides businesses with seamless access to multiple free zones while maintaining a single licence. The UAE offers investors more than 40 multidisciplinary free zones, in which expatriates and foreign investors can have full ownership of companies.
Dubai Free Zones
Dubai Free Zones offer 100 per cent foreign ownership and tax exemptions to companies operating there after getting a license. These zones are characterised by their highly efficient infrastructure, and distinct services that facilitate smooth workflows, saving businesses considerable time and effort.
One Freezone Passport milestone underscores Dubai’s commitment to fostering an agile and investor-friendly business environment, aligning with the objectives of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33.
The ‘D33’ Agenda includes the launch of innovative projects that will drive sustainable economic growth through innovative approaches and double GDP by 2033, making Dubai the fastest, safest and most connected city in the world.
The biggest advantage of One Freezone Passport programme is that it enables companies licensed at a single free zone to benefit from facilities located in other free zones across the emirate without requiring additional licensing.
One Freezone Passport initiative allows companies to expand their operational footprint through a streamlined and fast-paced process, enhancing the emirate’s competitive advantage in the global business landscape.
In March 2025, establishments in free zones were allowed to expand and open branches in mainland Dubai after acquiring a licence from Department of Economy and Tourism.
