The L Music studio in Lindsay welcomes musicians and artist to connect through music
LINDSAY, Calif. (KFSN) — A small Tulare County community is helping young students, artists and locals dream big.
Bridging gaps, creating and connecting the community through music.
That’s the goal of The L Music Studio in Lindsay.
“This space has meant so much to me, it opened up a month ago and already I feel so free,” says Michael Hobbs, a vocalist at The L.
Michael is a college student, studying music and education, with plans of being a music teacher.
He says having a local support system to work on his craft has been unmatched.
“The difference I have made between writing my song and now is astronomical. So if I would have had this in high school or middle school I would’ve been able to get through hard times while growing myself as a person and as a musician,” expresses Michael.
Music producer Joel Arreaga is a co-founder of the studio.
The space is something him and his classmate, Jacob Duenas, have been working towards since high school.
“We just had a vision, a dream, we had that creative mind that allowed us to express ourselves,” says Joel.
Thanks to a partnership with the Lindsay Chamber of Commerce, the studio opened its doors this year.
“Being a partner with the chamber feels great because I know they want small entrepreneurs, small businesses to happen,” says Jacob.
The Chamber is making use of its open space to help support local entrepreneurs, like member Esteban Solis Loya.
He hopes opportunities like these can help new generations follow their dreams from the comfort of the Central Valley.
“It’s a different world and people are priced out of other areas. They are coming back home and people are expecting the same things, those amenities you find in other urban areas. Why can’t we have it here? We are the next generation of leaders so we need to start making demands as to what we want of our city,” explains Esteban.
The L Music Studio has partnered with Lindsay High School in the past, encouraging the next generation of local musicians.
They welcome any musicians to visit their Downtown Lindsay location.

The Lindsay Chamber of Commerce says their doors are open for any aspiring entrepreneurs.
