Amit Aggarwal’s show at the Hyundai Indian Couture Week 2025 was not just like any ordinary runway display. Instead, it was an immersive experience into a mystic, otherworldly dimension where dystopia met desire and traditional couture was reimagined for a bolder tomorrow!
Amit showcased his collection on Day 3 of the Couture week, which is in association with Reliance Brands and an initiative of FDCI.
Titled ARCANUM, the designer’s latest collection explored the hidden framework of life. Known for his futuristic flair and fearless storytelling, Amit’s latest collection beautifully embraced the dark side of fashion. This was not about softness or delicate beauty — it was about power, presence, and provoking thought through silhouettes that seemed straight out of a parallel universe.

The show opened with models decked in cocoon-like dresses — sculptural, and voluminous. Adding to the sensory drama were the bags that these models were carrying – which had incense sticks, infusing the air with a mix of smoke and scent, adding on to the otherworldly atmosphere.
For men, Amit broke every rule and stereotype that has ever existed in the name of fashion. Sheer shirts, mesh tops and wide-leg pants in metallic tones redefined what we deem as “masculine” dressing. He accessorised them with gloves. What stole the show? Smokey eye on men. The statement was clear – gender is fluid and boundaries are irrelevant.
Women were dressed in structured gowns. Dark lips and sleek hair pulled into futuristic buns elevated their look. The drama came in when models walked the ramp with massive headgears towered on their faces like cosmic crowns.
Amit’s pieces set the right tone: structured yet fluid. Every garment beautifully showcased a sense of transformation.

The entire show felt like a dream. It was fashion as storytelling and a glimpse into a dystopian yet deeply poetic future. The description of Amit’s collection reads, “ARCANUM imagines DNA as a living code – an eternal thread that connects all forms of life across time. Each silhouette is a coded celebration of biology – a sculpted form where metaphor meets molecular design, echoing the deeper architecture of being.”
Amit has once again managed to carve a lane of his own — the one filled with mystery and unfiltered imagination. His collection this season was a cinematic experience and a celebration of fashion’s power to transcend reality.
