Indiatourism Delhi to celebrate Teej festival on July 28
Indiatourism Delhi, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, on Saturday announced the grand celebration of the vibrant and culturally rich Teej festival on July 28.
Teej, celebrated primarily by women across North India, especially in Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Punjab, marks the advent of the monsoon season and honors the reunion of Goddess Parvati with Lord Shiva.

The festival is known for its traditional music, dance, henna (mehndi), swings, festive attire, delectable cuisine, prosperity and happiness.
Indiatourism Delhi’s celebration will feature traditional Teej folk performances from Rajasthan, traditional bangles stall, Henna application booths, North Indian cuisine and Décor capturing the festive essence.
The event will take place at Indiatourism office at 88 Janpath, New Delhi, showcasing the colours, traditions, and spirit of Indian heritage. This celebration is open to both domestic and international tourists, and aims to promote India’s intangible cultural heritage while fostering cultural exchange.
The event will have wide participation from the Ministry of Tourism and Tourism, State Tourism Boards, Tourism Stakeholders – Tour Operators, Hoteliers, Ticketing Agents, Guides and Tourists sharing the beauty of Indian traditions with a wider audience and supporting local artisans and performers.
