Despite the rough preseason, Aston Villa is coming off a strong 2024-25 Premier League campaign, finishing sixth in the standings with a 19-9-10 record and earning a spot in the Europa League. Villa scored 58 goals and conceded 51, finishing the season with a +7 goal differential.
Eintracht Frankfurt also had an impressive 2024-25 season, securing third place in the Bundesliga. The club finished with 60 points from a 17-9-8 record, scoring 68 goals and allowing just 46, for a +22 goal differential.
