DMV Made Festival returns to National Mall with music, arts, and wellness

WASHINGTON, D.C. (7News) — The DMV Made Festival returned for its second year, consisting of a vibrant celebration of culture and wellness on Saturday.

The event happened from Noon to 7 p.m. at the National Mall, directly across from the National Museum of African American History and Culture.

The DMV Made Festival aims to showcase the cultural richness and wellness opportunities of the D.C., Maryland and Virginia region, offering a day of entertainment and community engagement for all ages.

Presented by the nonprofit Words Beats & Life, the festival featured a diverse lineup of live musical performances, including soul, hip-hop, go-go, rock, and Latin genres.

In addition to music, attendees enjoyed storytelling from groups like Free Minds Book Club and the American Poetry Museum. The festival also offered an Interactive Creative Arts Pavilion with DJing, graffiti and African drumming, as well as a Live Art Muralist zone.
